Osaka Airport Informational Guide to Osaka Kansai International Airport (KIX) - Non Official

Kansai Airport Terminal 1

Kansai Airport Terminal 1 is a building designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano. It is the longest airport terminal in the world (1.7 km from end to end).

Terminal 1 hosts both international and domestic flights.

The roof of Terminal 1 is specially designed to let air circulation flow through the building. By this way, the air flow is collected by the air conditioning ducts located on the other side of the curvature of the ceiling which was previously blow upwards by giant air conditioning ducts on one side of the terminal. In the ticketing hall, mobiles take advantage of the airflow.
